As am expert on Ethiopian and Eritrean cusine, I completely recommend this restaurant. The service is warm and friendly, plus the food is top shelf. Bonus - go on Thursdays to taste the Kitfo, it's freshest that day.

Nice clean establishment, with great customer service and good tasting Ethiopian food. Portion sizes is an issue.

I saw this place had just opened up and Ive tried almost all the places in fairfax. I wanted to try a new restaurant so I thought I'd try Zula. But here's the thing I've taken my brother to two places in Fairfax and lets just say he disliked Ethiopian food. I told him just try it a third time maybe it'll be better. Well, third times a charm. He loveddd it. Zula's meat platter was on point. We ordered the veggie combo, gored gored and zilzil tibs which are pretty basic stuff you will see on most Ethiopian restaurant menus. The veggie combo was decent, I couldn't really differentiate it from other places so not anything special. But what I'm raving about is the meat!!! Omg the spices are on point. It was so flavorful, I didn't even need extra mitmita (chili powder), which by the way, I always put on the injera (bread) with every bite. It was delicious and I consider it to be a comfort food. Also prices are average not too expensive like meals by genet. Worth every penny. Will be going here again to try the raw beef they only serve every Thursday.
